Students explore Maui recovery through interdisciplinary field study
Students from UH Manoa spent Sept. 17-18 on Maui in the Bowers + Kubota Interdisciplinary Field Study, focused on wildfire recovery.
Architecture, engineering and urban planning students met professionals, county officials, community advocates and builders, including AIA Maui, the Lahaina Town Action Committee and the County of Maui Department of Housing.
"It isn't just one type of professional that will help rebuild Lahaina," said engineering student Eric Christian Aganon.
